Historic House Renovation
Site Elevation Veiw
Client purchased a badly damaged house in a historic district and needed a visual representation done very quickly that could be presented to the local zoning board for approval of the restoration design. Their architect was not available to provide this document. SOL III DESIGN responded quickly and created a site rendering that they used to facilitate the discussion with the Zoning Board around adherence to historic district requirements; color scheme, landscaping, etc.
Also provided alternate color option -selected to complement surrounding structures.
Product Packaging
Client was a start-up company developing a new product to produce potable water extracted from the ambient air. As they were preparing their pitch deck for soliciting seed round capital they realized they had no working prototype to show. Even though the company was very early stage and had not developed the product fully, SOL III DESIGN was able to create a conceptual prototype from a basic understanding of the process that they could then include in their pitch.
This image is an early design concept put forward by one of the engineers developing this product. Having many years of experience in the engineering world I fully appreciate the difference in the analytical engineering mind and the creative mind.
Kitchen Renovation
Owner of high-rise condominium unit desired complete remodel of 1980’s era kitchen. The requirements include:
- Design a bright, modern, sleek and functional kitchen
- Allow natural light to permeate the kitchen space
- Create site lines to the living space as well as to exterior skyline view
- Increase storage space
- Create eat-in counter height bar
Cannabis Retail Shop
Client with rotating museum/exhibition space in their cannabis retail shop wanted to add unique site-specific seating around the space. The client’s brief specified that the design must complement the existing design scheme. During follow-up design discussions they also expressed a desire for a design that could be fun and whimsical. SOL III DESIGN created these 3 bench options (four-seater) that satisfied their brief.
The Splif Bench (the fun option) has a bungee cord core along with spring loaded end-caps that provides the kinetic experience of ‘bouncing’ the sitter.
